In the online store you may pay

  • Vipps,
  • Cryptocurrency (to come)

  • If the price of the artwork is above NOK2000,- (that is about $200 – $300), the 5% Norwegian art tax apply. For convenience, I have included both the 5% art tax and the shipping in the price listed in the online shop. It is my responsibility to pay the tax to Kunstavgiften. If you buy art directly from me, and the artwork has not been publicly announced on my website or through other channels, the art tax does not apply.
The revenue benefits artists through The Artists´ Relief Funs (BKH) (grants, awards and other allocation schemes), and through The Norwegian Visual Artists´ Copyright Society (BONO) (the artists´ resale right – royalty paid to the artist who has created the work that has been sold).
  • In Norway there is no VAT/MVA on art sold directly from the artist, as is the case here. Note that taxes may apply in your own country.

I ship the artwork using Bring – the official Norwegian post delivery service for businesses. Tracking is available inside Norway from it is sent until it arrives with you or at the nearest delivery location. Outside Norway tracking is available for most countries that participate in such service.

The art is shipped in cylinder boxes or pressel calendar boxes. Please note that the calendar boxes are not acid free, but there will be an acid free sheet of paper on each side of the artwork.

Yes, if you buy my art through my online store you may cancel your order within 14 days after delivery, but you will have to pay the cost for returning the artwork to me.

Due to the Cancellation Act (angrerettloven) in EEA (EØS) regarding sales of goods as a distance contract or off-premises contract, you are entitled to cancel/withdraw from the contract within 14 days after you have received your purchased artwork, using a standardised form (cancellation form) that is enclosed with the artwork. You – the customer – will have to pay the costs of returning the artwork you have bought. The artwork must be received by me without undue delay and latest within 14 days from the date I was informed about the cancellation (note that you have to inform me within 14 days after you have received your purchased artwork/got the message to pick up your goods where it is delivered). Also the artwork must be in the original condition without damages. As soon as the condition of the returned artwork is approved by me, your original payment will be returned. If there are any damages or the artwork is not received by me, the cancellation will be rejected.

Paintings: Normal dry dusting or a light wash with a damp cloth (don´t use too much water as it may affect the wood in the framing). There may be some structure in the painting that your cloth may stick to – just be careful and make sure that you don´t damage the structure and that threads from your cloth are not left on the painting. I use lightfast paint, but no producer guarantee the lightfastness if the painting is exposed to direct sunlight. Use the same guiding rules for your paintings as for your furnitures to avoid fading.

Giclées: The ink used on the giclées may be treated in the same way as the paint on the paintings, put the paper itself may buckle if exposed to water. The artwork should be surrounded by acid free and ligning free materials (to avoid yellowing and other colour changes), and if framed, make sure there is space between the artwork and the glass (use a mat). Please refer to my article about framing. As for a painting – keep the artwork away from direct sunlight to avoid fading. The ink used ensure museum quality, but also museums avoids the direct sunlight.
