This painting is the main project from my first year at Nydalen Kunstskole. It was preceded by a series of meditative drawings that showed several birds over and over again. I ended up choosing the seagull and the maiden cranes for this painting. I found the symbolic meaning in a book written by Carina Solöga Högman.
The canvas is stretched on a 4 cm deep wooden frame, and the sides are painted.
