Embedded Content from other Websites

Articles on my sites may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Any of the information I do collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

  • To process transactions (if the online store is “open” and you buy something from it)
  • To send periodic e-mails (The e-mail address you provide for order processing will be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order. Opting-in for marketing e-mails is separate and occurs via the newsletter signup page, and you also get a chance to sign up for my marketing e-mail list when doing a purchase. You can opt out at any time by sending me an e-mail with subject “Unsubscribe” to rakel@gallerirkk.com, or using the unsubscribe link provided when my e-mails are distributed via MailChimp.)

I use MailChimp to aid management of my email marketing list, feel free to check MailChimp´s privacy and terms conditions. Should you wish to subscribe to my newsletter, I collect only your email. If you do a purchase, your name and address are also collected (to send your item).

You may opt in for marketing emails in my online store, or on a landing page found in the menu of my website, and also through links and a few buttons on my site. You can opt out at any time by sending me an e-mail with subject “Unsubscribe” to rakel@gallerirkk.com, or using the unsubscribe link provided at the bottom of my e-mails.

Periodically I “open” my online store which I run using WooCommerce. Your payment is handled by PayPal or VippsI will ask for your name, mailing address, phone number and e-mail address to ensure you receive your order after payment. This information is shared with PayPal (if you pay with Paypal) or Vipps (if you use Vipps to pay).

Privacy Policy of Vipps is found here:
Vipps Privacy Protection Policy / Personvernerklæring Vipps.

Transactions outside the online store (i.e. when you contact me directly using e-mail, Facebook messenger, direct message on Instagram or otherwise, or when you visit my home atelier or an exhibition) are done using a PayPal-link (PayPal Privacy Policy (Norwegian)), Vipps (Vipps Privacy Protection Policy), and Alipay (Alipay Global Privacy Policy) (Alipay to come).

Who I Share Your Data with

When you sign up to a newsletter I store data to Mailchimp. Mailchimp is my system for sending out newsletters and you are free to unsusbscribe at any time.

Where I Send Your Data

I use GoDaddy  Operating Company, LCC for hosting. GoDaddy participate in and agree with EU–USA and Sveits–USA Privacy Shield Frameworks.
In addition to third party services mentioned other places in this document I also use the WordPress plugins Akismet Anti-Spam, Astra Widgets, Elementor, Jetpack, Vaultpress.

Purchasing data is held for 10 years minimum to indefinitely for tax purposes. Newsletter e-mail address and the name you provide are deleted when you unsubscribe to my newsletter.

Analytics

Google Analytics

I use Google Analytics for some stat tracking.

Please refer to the appropriate Google Analytics documentation for the specific type of data it collects. Purchase events will send Google Analytics the following information: order number, product id and name, product category, total cost, and quantity of items purchased.

Activity Tracked: This feature sends page view events (and potentially video play events) over to Google Analytics for consumption. Some additional events are also sent to Google Analytics: shopping cart additions and removals, product listing views and clicks, product detail views, and purchases.

To prevent Google Analytics cookies being set, you may install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On by clicking on this link – http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout and following the instructions.

WordPress.com Stats

I also have available WordPress.com Stats for some stat tracking.

Data Used: IP address, WordPress.com user ID (if logged in), WordPress.com username (if logged in), user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, timestamp of event, browser language, country code. Important: The site owner does not have access to any of this information via this feature. For example, a site owner can see that a specific post has 285 views, but he/she cannot see which specific users/accounts viewed that post. Stats logs — containing visitor IP addresses and WordPress.com usernames (if available) — are retained by Automattic for 28 days and are used for the sole purpose of powering this feature.

Activity Tracked: Post and page views, video plays (if videos are hosted by WordPress.com), outbound link clicks, referring URLs and search engine terms, and country. When this module is enabled, Jetpack also tracks performance on each page load that includes the Javascript file used for tracking stats. This is exclusively for aggregate performance tracking across Jetpack sites in order to make sure that our plugin and code is not causing performance issues. This includes the tracking of page load times and resource loading duration (image files, Javascript files, CSS files, etc.).

Facebook Advertising Analytics

A Facebook pixel is installed on my websites to track conversions and select audiences if I choose to run Facebook campaigns.

Changes to this Policy
